Princess Beatrice heartbreak: ‘Poor’ royal will have to postpone her wedding until 2021

During the ROYALS Podcast, Angela Mollard and Zoe Burrell discussed the unconfirmed reports that the royal wedding between Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice’s has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Ms Mollard stated it was more likely for Princess Beatrice to postpone the event until 2021 instead of having a short and quick wedding in 2020.

Ms Burrell asked:  “What is happening with her wedding now?”

Ms Mollard said: “There has been no official announcement but there has been constant reporting about the fact she has cancelled her wedding.

“She, of course, was going to have a garden party at Buckingham Palace that was cancelled.

“There were a lot of questions on whether she was going to go ahead with her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

“At this stage, it is looking like they are going to postpone it until 2021 rather than go ahead with a very quick and short wedding.”

She continued: “This poor woman has had to delay her wedding twice because of the scandal surrounding her father Prince Andrew.

“Now she is having to postpone it yet again.

“She, of course, is 31, her fiancé is 36.

“He already has a child, a young boy.

“I can imagine that Beatrice will be wanting to have children and move quite quickly on with married life.

“She must feel so devastated that her plans are in disarray at this stage.”

Earlier this week ABC News’ foreign correspondent Maggie Rulli told the Heir Podcast it was heartbreaking to see Princess Beatrice cancel her wedding.

Ms Raggi said: “It is a milestone, it is a huge moment, something that you will remember forever.

“So to see someone like Beatrice dealing with those same emotions of knowing it is the right thing to do, knowing that you can’t have people travelling in for a wedding.

“But also knowing how much time and thought has gone into it.

“Your heart does break for Beatrice and all the other brides and grooms out there that are trying to plan this big day.”
