Princess Anne steps out in chic checked outfit and ‘sentimental’ brooch

Princess Anne has visited Jaguar Land Rover in Halewood as the motor plant celebrates 60 years of motor manufacturing at the site.

She was given an insight into electrification plans and works underway at the facility as it is reimagined as an all-electric manufacturing facility.

Princess Anne donned a black and white checked blazer and skirt with many pastel blue accents for the visit. The blazer and skirt featured pastel blue pinstripes and a yellow lining.

She was also wearing a pastel blue top underneath the blazer, which perfectly complemented the black and white blazer and yellow and pastel blue accents.

Princess Anne accessorised her outfit with a circular gold brooch which was pinned to her left shoulder.

This was not the first time that Princess Anne wore this shiny accessory. Back in February on a royal visit to New Zealand, the Princess debuted the brooch for the first time.

Previously speaking to Express.co.uk, Zack Stone, a jewellery expert from Steven Stone, claimed that the piece “oozes with symbolism”.

He said: “Whilst wreaths symbolise welcome and friendship, leaves are often symbols of hope amid hardship.

“This makes the piece a particularly sentimental choice by the Princess Royal both when she visited New Zealand as they were dealing with a major weather event, and when she met researchers, clinicians and patients at the CSI.”

Despite the brooch costing £4,500 according to the jewellery expert, this is a “modest price tag”.

She was also seen wearing this gold brooch when she stepped out to visit King Charles in hospital in Wales earlier this year.

Princess Anne wore small delicate gold earrings to accessorise with her outfit as well as a gold necklace.

In addition, she wore black gloves and carried a black handbag across her shoulder.

For footwear, the Princess wore some long black boots, which reached just below her knees.

Princess Anne polished off the look with a blue, white and gold detailed silk scarf which to wore around her neck.

Scarfs are a stylish accessory the Princess relies on to look super polished and it works for all occasions, as she’s proved over the years.
