Princess Anne gave royal fans a glimpse of her home as she congratulated staff at the newly launched NHS Louisa Jordan hospital. The Princess Royal published a video on The Royal Family Twitter account to praise astonishing teamwork carried out by constructors in Glasgow, who in less than 20 days created the new coronavirus hospital. 

Princess Anne, the Queen’s only daughter, also said to be pleased to see the structure had been named after Louisa Jordan, a Glasgow-born nurse who volunteered to work for the Scottish Women’s Hospital during World War 1 before dying in Serbia in 1915.

The Princess Royal headed to Scotland to celebrate the centenary of the creation of the hospital Ms Jordan worked for in 2014.

The creation of the NHS Louisa Jordan hospital follows the launch of NHS Nightingale Hospitals across England, field hospitals created to treat patients affected by coronavirus.

The first Nightingale hospital was built in London and launched by Prince Charles via video link on April 3.

During Anne’s speech, royal fans could admire the decor in what appears to be Princess Anne’s living room.

Among the many pictures and paintings displayed in the room, a portrait of Zara and Mike on their wedding day occupies a prominent position.

Mike and Zara can be seen standing side by side in their wedding outfits just on the left-hand side of the screen, behind the Princess Royal.

The picture was likely taken after the ceremony took place, as Zara is no longer wearing her veil.

Zara and Mike married a few months after Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William. 

The Queen’s granddaughter and the former rugby player celebrated their love at Canongate Kirk, a Scottish chapel on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.

This royal wedding was the first taking place in Scotland in almost 20 years, and royal fans from every corner of the country lined up to catch a glimpse of the happy couple and senior royals in attendance.

The Queen later hosted a reception at Holyroodhouse, the monarch’s official residence in Scotland.  

In Princess Anne’s video, several porcelain statuettes reproducing animals such as birds and rabbits can also be seen.

A big mirror dominates the wall behind the princess, partially covered by a pink bouquet.

Like all other members of the Royal Family, Princess Anne has been forced to temporarily change the way she carries out her royal work while the coronavirus pandemic continues to grip the country. 

The Princess Royal, who in 2019 was the second hardest-working member of the Royal Family, is regularly carrying out video calls with her patronages and the associations she supports. 

The official residence in London of the Princess Royal is St James’s Palace.

However, her London home is mostly used for ceremonial occasions and to host charity dinners and meetings.

Princess Anne and her husband Timothy Laurence spend most of their free time at Gatcombe Park, their private country home in Gloucestershire.

The princess shares this residence with Zara, Mike and the couple’s two daughters, Lena and Mia.
