Princess Anne and racing legend Jackie Stewart in stitches as pair reminisce in new video
Princess Anne: Commercial deals 'need transparency' says Smith
Princess Anne, 70, was the first-ever member of the British Royal Family to compete in the Olympic Games when she rode for the UK’s equestrian team in the 1976 Games. A celebrated sportswoman, Anne formed tight friendships with other people in the field including Formula One icon Sir Jackie Stewart.
Jackie is at the forefront of a campaign to promote research into dementia, which his wife of 56 years, Lady Helen suffers from.
The racing legend persuaded the Princess Royal to feature in an episode of his Memories series which promotes the work done by his charity Race Against Dementia.
In the moving episode, Jackie and Anne exchange happy memories and a lot of laughter.
Anne, who is known for her dry sense of humour, at one point has both of them both in stitches.

Jackie added: “But sadly he’s no longer with us.”
Anne replied: “No. But Jackie this was a long time ago, it’s a minor miracle we’re still here.”
To which Jackie gives a wry smile and says: “Well we are, we’re still alive. I mean your sport was considerably more dangerous than mine in any case.”
Laughing, Princess Anne responds: “I think yours has got safer as a result of you, I’m not sure about mine.”
Also laughing, Jackie responds: “Yours is still dangerous, that’s the problem.”
Later in the recording, Anne recalls her time being taught to drive racing cars by Jackie at Silverstone.
