Prince William’s risqué response as he and Kate share their favourite emojis

Prince William and Princess Kate left people in a frenzy after they revealed their favourite emojis with their choices extremely different from each other.

The Prince and Princess of Wales spoke about their texting habits with royal fans as they shared their innocent and cheeky sides.

BBC Radio 1 presenters Vick Hope and Jordan North asked the couple about what emojis they mainly use.

The Prince of Wales was quick enough to take a U-turn from his response after he revealed that he would have chosen an aubergine, which can have a sexual connotation.

The station shared the couple’s answers during an Instagram video posted on Thursday.

Prince William joked: “Is this a clean thing or is this a family one?”

Then then revealed what his answer would be if he had to be “grown-up” in his response.

He laughed: “I’ve been told not to say the aubergine, so I’ve got to pick something else. It would’ve been the aubergine.

“But I’m saying now, because I’ve got to be a little grown up, it’s the one with the eyes that go up and down and the mouths out.”

The couple were questioned as part of the Access All Apps feature.

The Princess of Wales offered a more wholesome answer and pointed out her top two emojis.

She explained: “Mine’s probably got to be the heart … then the crying emoji. The sort of like hysterical laughing when things have gone wrong.”

After posting the video, fans of BBC Radio 1 quickly shared their views on the couple’s choice of emojis.

One user said: “Never imagined our future King to be sending out [aubergine emoji] that’s for sure!”

Another one said: “Love the aubergine hahaha.”

As for Kate’s choice of emojis, one user commented that her choice of a heart emoji and crying laughing face emoji was a “classic mum response”.
