The couple recently announced that they would be launching their official YouTube channel. Kate’s photography skills successfully placed her new book ‘Hold Still’ at the number one spot. Their social media presence has garnered millions of followers who enjoy seeing images of the couple’s three children, seven-year-old Prince George, Princess Charlotte who is six years old, and three-year-old Prince Louis. However, Harry and his wife Meghan have deleted all of their social channels – due to the Duke of Sussex’s “almost unsurvivable” experiences with online trolls.

In an Amazon Prime documentary titled ‘Secrets of the Royals’ royal photographer, Kent Gavin believes that William’s powergrab over social media was something that is sincerely personal to him.

Mr Gavin explained: “The royals are issuing and controlling what they show – I am not talking about the public events.

“I am talking about birthdays and those sorts of things.

“Kate issues these lovely pictures of the children – it is taking the ‘sting’ out of the paparazzi if you like.”

Mr Gavin further added when he had a conversation with William about his mother, Princess Diana.

He said William was adamant that what had happened to his mother would never happen to his children and wife.

Diana was tragically killed when she was involved in a car crash after being chased down a street by paparazzi in Paris, France.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex deleted all of their social media presence despite being a massive success with audiences.

The couple broke records when they launched their Instagram account ‘Sussex Royal’ back in 2018.

The pair amassed more than 10 million followers on their Sussex Royal Instagram, which they were forced to drop when they stepped back from the monarchy.

Meghan also had 1.9 million Instagram followers, 350,000 Twitter followers and 800,000 likes on her Facebook before she shut her accounts when she married Harry.

However, in an opinion piece for US publication Fast Company in August, Harry said: “The digital landscape is unwell.”

He added: “Social media has stoked and created … a crisis of hate, a crisis of health and a crisis of truth.”

Even though Kate and William have 12.8 million followers , a study by London-based pawnbrokers H&T believe that if they decide to monetise their content, they could earn up to an estimated £1.8million.

The study also estimates that their Instagram accounts could also earn up to £54,610 per post, which could amount to a whopping £2.6million a year.
