Prince Harry had plenty to say about his father and brother in the interview, including a number of unprecedented admissions about his relationship with his brother Prince William and father Prince Charles. Speaking about his brother, Prince Harry said in the interview: “The relationship is ‘space’ at the moment. And time heals all things, hopefully.”
Their fractured relationship first emerged when Prince Harry admitted he and his brother were “on different paths” in an interview with ITV prior to the couple’s departure from royal life.
He said: “We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy but I love him dearly.”
The Duke of Sussex also spoke about his relationship with his father, which is also fractured following the events of the past year.
”My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave [their roles],” said Harry.
“And I have huge compassion for that.”
Are the brothers still feuding?
Prince William has not responded to the interview, which aired in the UK on Monday.
It is unlikely the Duke of Cambridge will publicly respond to his brother’s admissions, and Buckingham Palace has only released a short statement after the interview.
It read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.
“While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”
The brother’s relationship has been well documented over the years, but the rift came as a surprised to many when it emerged back in 2019.

“Their relationship is incredibly intimate,” Princess Diana’s biographer Andrew Morton said in the November 2019 edition of Royals Monthly.
“Nobody apart from each other knows exactly — not even their father — what’s gone on in their heads and their hearts for the last 20-odd years.
“They both experienced the loss of their mother.
“The only people that they could trust to talk about it in a candid way was each of them.”
Over their years as working royals, the brothers worked together on a number of charitable endeavors.
Their Heads Up campaign for mental health awareness has been particularly successful, and Harry even credited William for helping him seek mental health counselling after struggling with Diana’s death as an adult.
But the brothers later separated their charities, with Harry now having dissolved his royal charities and given up his patronages as part of his exit from the Firm.
They did their last royal engagement together in March 2020, joining the Queen and other senior royals at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.
