The Diana Award shared the touching message in a post on Instagram. The Duke of Cambridge said he and his brother appreciate the charity’s work to help young people during the coronavirus crisis.
William said: “I wanted to write to send my support and thanks to all the staff, volunteers and supporters of The Diana Award.
“My brother and I remain ever appreciative of the work you do to foster, develop and support young people, particularly at this time of uncertainty.
“Whilst you are finding yourselves adapting to new ways of working, there is no doubt that your support for young people, through what will be anxious and unsettling times for many, is as important as ever.
“This comes with my very best wishes for good health to your families over the coming weeks.”
The Diana Award also posted a series of pictures of William and Harry from previous charity events.
The caption said: “We’ve received a lovely message from HRH the Duke of Cambridge.
“Thank you to the Duke and the Duke of Sussex for all your support over the years and now in this uncertain time.
“We’re incredibly grateful for all of our supporters (including you reading this right now) for making it possible for us to help young people change the world.
“We hope this brightens your day – it certainly did ours!”
Royal fans reacted with delight to the Instagram post.

One commented: “Lovely message, such wonderful brothers, Diana would be so proud.”
Another wrote: “Lovely that Prince William wrote the letter.”
The Diana Award was set up in the memory of the Princess who tragically died in a Paris car crash in 1997.
The charity works to help young people including anti-bullying, mentoring and award programmes.
William’s letter comes after Harry’s move to the US with Meghan Markle.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are starting a new life in Los Angeles after quitting royal duties.
Meanwhile, William is staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with Kate and their three children during the coronavirus lockdown.
The brothers have been in touch since Harry set up home in California, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl.
Ms Nicholl told ET: “There have been clearly some quite major rifts in that relationship, but things have got better and I know that William and Harry are in touch on the phone.
“They have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch.”
