Prince William pays loving tribute to Kate and Charlotte during Wales visit with Duchess
Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge embarked on a one-day visit to South Wales on Monday to meet with local organisations and workers at TATA Steel in Port Talbot. One royal watcher had a brief chat with the Duke of Cambridge as he met with fans in-between engagements and reported William had the perfect response when told Princess Charlotte was the fan’s “favourite” Royal Family member. In his response, Prince William paid a lovely tribute to his four-year-old daughter as well as to his wife Catherine.
The Duke of Cambridge replied: “Yes, she is lovely – just like my wife.”
During the visit to South Wales, William and Kate opened up about their children’s love for ice cream as they visited a parlour in Swansea saying all three like it but “some more than others.”
The Duke of Cambridge also shed some light on the usually private details of their daily routine with their three children – George, 6, Charlotte, 4, and Louis, 1 – when he spotted a child reading Julia Donaldson’s book “Room on the Broom.”
William told the child: “I read this to our children all the time.”

The Duke joked that the book had saved many bedtimes, revealing that he had met the author when she received her CBE for services to literature.
Prince William said: “I said ‘do you realise how many parents you have saved at bedtime?'”
He added: “David Walliams also does good books for children – for a little bit older children I think.
“I’ve read one and it was really, really good.”

Unless on royal tour abroad, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are known to try and wrap up their engagements to be home before their children head to bed.
The couple have long been considered to be hands-on parents compared to previous generations of royals, and the couple have spoken about some of the activities they like to do with the children in the past.
The Duke of Cambridge admitted he likes to play football with both George and Charlotte, and last year he treated his eldest children and Kate to an Aston Villa-Norwich City match at Carrow Road stadium.
Kate has been seen attending a show of The Nutcracker with Princess Charlotte and the Duchess said she encourages the children to spend a lot of time outside.

The Duchess also revealed in 2019 that her favourite pastime was spending time together with her family.
The children haven’t been seen in public since their walk with parents on Christmas day.
Louis, still only one-years-old, was too young to join them and stayed behind with nanny Maria Borrallo.
Royal fans were delighted by Princess Charlotte after she was pictured hugging a woman in a wheelchair.
Charlotte then went on to accept a pink flamingo from the woman, that later turned out to be from a local Spar.
The young Princess was even seen giving the Queen a small curtsy as the royals left St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Sandringham.
