The Duke of Cambridge made a recent appearance on the BBC’s That Peter Crouch Podcast, where he spoke about the Kensington Palace Twitter account which shares with wife Kate Middleton. However, William ended up revealing that he actually has pretty much has no control over the page.

“No, they deliberately keep me away from that,” he said during the interview.

However, there was one occasion in which he simply could not control himself and felt compelled to send out a tweet of his own.

This was when Liverpool won the Semi-Final against Barcelona last year, which the Duke described as “amazing”.

He said: “I went mental, I grabbed the Twitter thing and I just posted it.”

“It was an amazing match. I was literally blown away by it.

“It was one of the best games of football I’ve ever seen.

“And I got completely out of control and I just went, ‘Tweet that, get it out. Give it here!'”

The tweet in question was sent back in May 2019.

It read: “Well done Liverpool—an incredible result, what a comeback.”

The Duke even signed off the tweet with a “W.”

However, it seems like the prince has been trying to experiment more with the social media outlet—sadly, to no avail.

He added: “Nearly every Villa game we’ve won, which hasn’t been many this season, I’ve been trying to get a hold of it.

“They keep it away from me now. I have to fight them for it.”

The Duke spoke out about the Twitter battle ahead of the release of the controversial royal biography Finding Freedom, due to be released on August 11.

The book is said to have caused tensions between Princes William and Harry, following claims William was “snobbish” towards Meghan.

The book even says that William thought Harry was “blindsided by lust.”

Royal author Phil Dampier recently told The Daily Mail that Princes Harry and William are on speaking terms and appear to be making amends.

He said: “The pair are speaking at the moment, but the conversations are stilted and difficult.”

The books also say William told Harry to “take as much time as you need to get to know ‘this girl.'”

Harry thought was incredibly snobbish and caused him to grow “tired of the dynamic that had become established between him and his older brother.”

Meanwhile, a source previously told Us Weekly that “William thinks the book is their calculated way of controlling the narrative and that they took advantage of their entertainment contacts so they’d be painted in a favourable light.”

The book also explores Harry and Meghan’s decision to stand from their roles as senior members of the Royal Family.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have distanced themselves from the book, saying they were not interviewed for the biography and did not make any contributions to it.

However, extracts of the book published by The Times even discuss details of Harry and Meghan right back to their first ever date.
