Prince William ‘hurt’ over Harry not living in UK to support family amid covid-19 outbreak

According to a report by US Weekly, Harry has regularly been communicating with family back home in the UK including brother William and father Charles. While the Duke of Cornwall has found “comfort” in his conversations with Harry, Prince William has reportedly not been so positive about the situation.

A royal source told US Weekly: “Charles found a great deal of comfort in their conversations while he was recuperating from coronavirus,”

“Although Prince William and Harry are on speaking terms, their relationship is not in the best place right now.

“They speak, but it’s awkward.”

The insider remarked that William was upset that Harry is far away during this critical time that saw Charles diagnosed with coronavirus.

“He’s hurt that Harry isn’t in London to support the family amid the coronavirus outbreak.”

Harry is reportedly also feeling “bad” that he is not with his family during this tough time.

A separate source told US Weekly: “Despite their ups and downs, hearing that his dad is sick with a potentially life-threatening illness is a huge wake-up call,”

“And he’s overwhelmed with feelings of guilt for not being closer to home while this is all going on.”

Meghan and Harry are now in Los Angeles reportedly renting an exclusive Malibu mansion, as they host daily FaceTime playdates for Archie.

However, the stresses of home are never too far away, as it’s been claimed that Harry spends time sharing his worries with friends on the phone.

A source revealed: “Like any household right now, there are ups and downs,”

“To his credit, he tries to shield Meghan from his stress. So he’ll confide to friends in the UK over the phone.”

It comes as Meghan and Harry made one final announcement as they officially stepped away from their royal duties this week.

The couple is officially “out of office”, according to their automated email response that appeared yesterday.

A new chapter for the Sussex couple now begins in Los Angeles, as they pursue their own careers.

And to make sure this is not forgotten, the pair’s automated Buckingham Palace email response said: “Many thanks for your email.

“The office for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has now closed,”

From April the 1, the pair have officially stepped back from their senior royal roles, as they prepare to be “financially independent.”

The staff from their office have been “let go” from their positions, including long term aides made redundant after the shake up.

“Given their decision to step back, an office at Buckingham Palace is no longer needed,” a palace aide told ITV.
