The Prince of Wales greeted a crowd of mourners outside of Windsor Castle alongside the Princess of Wales, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday. The Prince quickly spotted what appears to be an Italian Greyhound amongst the crowd and approached the owners to give the pup a bit of a cuddle. As he chatted with them, William remarked pets are really important “at this time” as he admitted he had been giving his dog, a Spaniel called Orla, “lots of cuddles at the moment” to cope.
Prince William said to mourners outside Windsor Castle: “It’s a sea of hands, I’ll try and reach over at the back.”
Greeting one of the mourner’s dogs Prince William said: “Aw look, who’s this?”
One of the royal fans replied: “Luna.”
Prince William added: “Hello Luna, you’re very sweet Luna, how old is she?”
The royal fan replied: “She’s nearly two.”
Prince William added: “Dogs at this time are so important, I give my dog a lot of cuddles at the moment, I’ve got a little Spaniel called Orla, she’s very sweet.”

The Queen has been known for her love of Corgis and has had many of that particular breed as pets over the years.
There has been much speculation about which one of the Queen’s children will look after her beloved Corgis.
Some reports have claimed that it will be one of her younger sons, Prince Andrew that will look after her dogs.
Royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter said: “We can only speculate on plans for the corgis – nothing is left to chance with the Royal Family.
“The Royal Family is a family of dog lovers, though none are particularly fond of corgis. The Queen was definitely the lord and master and had a wonderful way with them. They were known to nip the ankles of the Royal Family.
“All of the Queen’s children would welcome them with open arms.”
