Prince William, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, are both keen polo players and over the years the brothers have raised money for charities they care about by taking part in an annual fundraiser. In 2019, the princes competed against one another in a charity match at the Billingbear Polo Club but this year William was the only royal to take part in the event at the Guards Polo Club.

A Kensington Palace statement confirming William’s involvement in the match ahead of Friday, read: “The Duke of Cambridge will take part in the Out-Sourcing Inc Royal Charity Polo Cup 2021 at Guards Polo Club, on Friday 9th July.

“Money generated will go to organisations including Centrepoint, East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH), Family Action, Fields in Trust, The Forward Trust, London Air Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, and Tusk.”

Much has changed for the Royal Family since 2019, including Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to quit royal life for good.

They have been based in California since last spring and recently welcomed their second child, a daughter to the world on June 4.

Tensions have been running high between the Sussexes and the Royal Household ever since their bombshell interview with Oprah in March.

However, last week William and Harry seemed to put their differences aside as they reunited to unveil a new statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace.

Harry flew back to the UK for the poignant engagement and it was the first time he and William had come together in public since Prince Philip’s funeral in April.

Despite the ongoing rift between the two brothers, they appeared to put their differences aside and both wor smiles at the event.

Photos of William playing polo without his brother there on Friday are a poignant reminder of Harry’s absence from the Fold.

In previous years the charity polo matches produced some brilliant pictures of the brothers competing together and appearing to have fun.

The pair took part in the Jerudong Trophy charity polo match together at Cirencester Park Polo Club in 2017.

While the 2019 match at Billingbear Polo Club was the first time Meghan stepped out with baby Archie following his birth.

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge also attended to cheer William on with their three children – Prince George, seven, Prince Louis, three, and Princess Charlotte, six.

William has a busy few days ahead as he is due to join Kate at Wimbledon tomorrow to watch the women’s finals.

On Sunday he is scheduled to watch England take on Italy at Wembley as the two teams battle it out in the Euro 2020 final.

While the Duke attended Wednesday’s semi-final solo, there are hopes that on Sunday he could be joined by Kate and their three children.

Harry returned to the USA just hours after last Thursday engagement and it is not known when he and Meghan might next visit Britain as a family.
