Prince William reveals only time he’s cried watching sport
Prince William is in Swindon to visit the founder of the charity BEST – Be A Better You, an organisation which provides young people with mental health support through one-to-one mentoring and sports coaching.
Local father Don Bryden set up BEST in 2020 after his daughter Jess became exposed to criminal exploitation, with his aim being to offer something positive for young people nearby struggling with different social, emotional, and mental health barriers.
During his visit the Prince of Wales met with Jess and her peers who have been supported by the charity, as well speaking to staff and volunteers with the programme.
While in Swindon William heard about how BEST supports local young people through mentoring, sports coaching and education programmes, to help those involved in crime and gang violence to turn their lives around.
Once again his wife Princess Kate was not by his side, as she has been undertaking her own ventures this week in Leeds, Lancaster and Kent.

Then on Wednesday Kate was in Sittingbourne in Kent, once again modelling her business-casual wardrobe in a striking red blazer worn with her hair in a bun.
While in Kent she joined a children’s sensory development play session, known as portage, where she interacted with young children with special educational needs and their families.
The visit came as part of Kate’s Shaping Us campaign, with the Princess making it her life’s work to draw attention to the importance of the first five years of a child’s life.
