Prince William admits he was ‘kept up all night’ by Prince Harry when they lived together

Prince Charles’ sons were famously close during their childhood and well into their adulthood until the pair began to drift apart in recent years. The Duke of Cambridge painted a picture of his experience sharing living quarters with Harry in 2009 which sounded like it was far from domestic bliss.

In 2009 the brothers then aged 27 and 24 lived together in a rented cottage while training for their helicopter licences at the Defence Helicopter Flying School near RAF Shropshire.

William spilled the beans on the Duke of Sussex’s bad and annoying habits – one of which caused the older prince to miss out on sleep.

Wills poked fun at Harry’s lack of skills in the kitchen, and joked that he relied on his older brother to feed him.

He said: “Bearing in mind I cook – I feed him every day – I think he’s done very well.

“Harry does the washing up, but then he leaves most of it in the sink and then I come back in the morning and I have to wash it up.

“I do a fair bit of tidying up after him.

“He snores a lot too. He keeps me up all night.”

Harry responded by saying William’s comments gave the impression that the brothers slept in the same bed.

He joked: “Oh God, they’ll think we share a bed now.

“We’re brothers, not lovers!”

The duke, who relocated to the US earlier this year, insisted it was the “first time, last time” that he would live with William.

The dated interviews were published by royal biographer Richard Lacey in his new book Battle of Brothers.

The author said William revealed the details about his brother’s snoring in a “jokingly – or half-jokingly” manner.

After growing up extremely close, the brothers remained on good terms after William tied the knot with Kate and settled into married life.

But things took a turn for the worse when Harry and Meghan decided to go their own way as working royals.
Distancing themselves from the royal bubble, they employed their own staff for their own office and set up a separate charitable foundation to that of their in-laws.

After months of speculation about a supposed rift between William and Harry, the younger prince admitted they were on “very different paths” during an interview in South Africa in September 2019.

Months later Harry and Meghan dropped the bombshell that they were bowing out of royal life before relocating to the US.

Since setting up a home in Montecito with Archie, the Sussexes have not been camera shy and have spoken out about topics such as racism, discrimination and politics.

William and Kate on the other hand have been busy carrying out royal engagements as well as showcasing their three children in public appearances during the lockdown.
