Robert Hardman, author of ‘Queen of the World’, said that the Duke of Edinburgh’s family from Germany are isolating in Ascot in preparation for the service.
Prince Philip died last Friday aged 99 at Windsor Castle.
The Palace announced that the Duke’s funeral will take place on April 17 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Taking to Twitter, Mr Hardman wrote: “I am pleased to report that the Duke’s sisters’ families, whom he loved dearly (and vice versa), will make up a tenth of the mourners on Saturday.
“Uninvited to his 1947 wedding, they’ll be there at the end as he wanted.”
