Prince Philip has surgery for heart condition and will stay in hospital
Prince Philip has had a ‘successful procedure’ for a pre-existing heart condition, Buckingham Palace has said.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, is being treated at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, and will remain there for a number of days for rest and recuperation.
He was taken to the specialist heart unit by ambulance from the King Edward VII’s Hospital on Monday.
