Prince Louis has made his debut at the Easter Sunday service, a staple in the royal calendar. He wore sweet blue shorts and socks pulled up to his knees as he held hands with mum, Kate, the Princess of Wales. The four-year-old’s appearance will no doubt delight royal fans, as the Prince and Princess of Wales’s youngest child won the hearts of the nation at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last year with his cheeky antics and hilarious facial expressions. 

Louis, who will celebrate his fifth birthday later this month, appeared alongside his siblings Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven as they joined their parents for the short walk between Windsor Castle and St George’s Chapel.

The older children attended the service last year alongside their parents, but Louis was likely deemed too young at the time to attend the event and did not join the rest of his family.

All three of the Wales’s children will feature at the King’s Coronation next month, with George taking on the prestigious role of pageboy to his grandfather. 

Charlotte and Louis will likely be seated alongside their parents and will later feature in the infamous procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace after the religious service. 

Today marks the first Easter Sunday since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, whose final resting place is in the small King George VI Memorial Chapel, located inside the bigger 15th-century chapel.

She was buried in the tiny chapel alongside her adored husband Prince Philip and parents George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

Today also marks two years exactly since King Charles’s beloved father Prince Philip died, making the day even more poignant for the new monarch.
