Prince Louis birthday: Kate’s ADORABLE plans for lockdown celebration
Kate is believed to be organising a special birthday for Prince Louis, who will turn two on April 23. The Duchess of Cambridge will make sure Louis feels as loved as ever despite the nationwide lockdown, which will prevent him from seeing his extended family and friends, according to a royal expert.
Royal commentator Katie Nicholl told OK! magazine: “Kate won’t let any birthday pass without a celebration.
“So even though the family are in self-isolation, she’ll make sure Louis enjoys his day.
“She tends to organise fairly low-key parties for the children.

“Usually Kate’s parents Carole and Michael are there, along with her sister Pippa and their brother James.
“This year will be quieter, of course, but there will be presents that Kate has bought online, as well as a tea party.
“And if the weather’s nice, they’re sure to be out in the gardens.
“Even if Louis hasn’t got the wider family there on his birthday, he won’t miss out on any fun.”
Ms Nicholl believes doting mother Kate could bake a cake to celebrate Prince Louis’s birthday and will push her elder children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to making their own cards and presents for their little brother.
She continued: “The emphasis during this time will be on arts and crafts, painting and doing things that aren’t screen-orientated.
“Kate is usually very strict on screen time and keeps it to a minimum.
“The children aren’t allowed their own devices.
“Kate loves baking and she’ll stay up late making Louis’ birthday cake if need be.
“His nursery at Kensington Palace has a Peter Rabbit theme, so the Beatrix Potter character might well feature on the cake.”
While Prince Louis’s grandparents can’t physically be with the little Cambridge on his special day, they will gather together on his screen to wish him a happy birthday.
Ms Nicholl continued: “The whole family, including Louis’ grandfather Prince Charles, are communicating via Zoom and Skype, so although they’re all isolating, they haven’t felt isolated.”
Kate and Prince William are self-isolating with their three children and their nanny, Maria Teresa Borrallo, at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges’ residence in Norfolk.
The royals continue to work and support their patronages from home, using phone and video calls.
Earlier this week, Prince William contacted some of the grassroots charities receiving the National Emergency Trust’s Coronavirus Appeal.
Last week, Kate and William video called teachers who continue to work with children of key workers and thanked them for their efforts.
The Cambridges are also taking part in the ‘clap for our carers’ initiative, which sees the country virtually coming together every Thursday at 8pm to thank frontline workers.
In late March, the Cambridges published a video on social media showing their children clapping in the gardens of Anmer Hall.
