Prince Louis birthday: How will Kate Middleton celebrate and what presents will Louis get?
The Royal Family have traditions when it comes to birthdays, one of which involves the release of new photos.
On Monday, Kensington Palace released three never before seen photos of Prince Louis taken by Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate likes to keep her children’s birthday’s low key if Prince George and Princess Charlotte, three, are anything to go by.
For Prince George, his first birthday was a quiet Beatrix Potter themed family only party.

Whilst on Princess Charlotte’s first birthday, friends and family were invited to a private celebration at the Cambridge’s country home, Amner Hall.
The Georgian country house is a common location for the Cambridge’s to celebrate their children’s birthdays, as for Prince George’s third birthday a tea party was held at Amner Hall in Norfolk.
When it comes to presents, the royals have a unique way of celebrating birthdays.
Whilst it is unknown what Prince Louis has received, one thing is for sure, he will not be short of books.
Prince Harry began a library for his youngest nephew, purchasing a rather expensive book as a christening present.
The Duke of Sussex spent £8,000 on a first edition of AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh as a christening present.
Harry’s close friend told the Sun at the time: “One of Harry’s happiest childhood memories was being read a bedtime story by his mother.
“She loved all the old classics and Harry had the brilliant idea of starting a little library of first editions for Louis, Charlotte and George to enjoy as they get older.
“He originally wanted to get Lewis Carroll’s Through The Looking Glass, which was on sale for £24,000, but decided Winnie-The-Pooh would be more suitable for a first tome.”
Prince Louis’ brother George was also given a rather lavish present when he was born.
George, five, was gifted his own forest by grandfather Prince Charles, planting trees just after his grandson was born.
In the documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, Prince Charles revealed why he organised such a unique gift: “As I get older, all I really long for is to plant trees.
“I hope it will be quite amusing for George, as they grow up, and he grows up.”
