Prince Harry is ‘invested’ in US culture and politics says expert
The fact the Duke of Sussex lost his mother, Princess Diana, at an early age gives him a connection with US president Biden who lost his first wife, young daughter, and then later his son. In 1972 Mr Biden’s wife Neilia and one-year-old daughter Naomi were killed in a car accident. Mr Biden also lost his son, Beau Biden, who died of brain cancer in 2015.
Prince Harry lost his mother, Princess Diana, after she died in a car accident in France in 1997, she was 36 years old.
Royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter said: “Prince Harry’s friendship with the president and first lady is one built on shared experience and support.
“Having tragically lost his wife, young daughter, and later his son, Biden is all too familiar with the agony of grief.
“He regularly talks of his personal sorrows as a way to connect with others in pain.”

Royal fans spotted a large portrait of Prince Harry in one of the inauguration photographs of Joe Biden, many seeing this as confirmation the Duke and Mr Biden have a close affinity.
The large portrait of Prince Harry can be seen in the background of photos taken during President Biden’s official visit to Arlington Cemetery.
One photo of Mr Biden speaking to Bill and Hillary Clinton clearly shows the Duke of Sussex in ceremonial uniform on the wall.
Many royal fans saw this as evidence of Mr Biden’s fondness for Prince Harry.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie shared the photo on Twitter.
He tweeted: “A blink and you’ll miss it cameo by a royal at President Biden’s inauguration day visit to Arlington Cemetery.
“Well, kinda.
“Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a giant photo from Prince Harry’s 2013 visit hanging in the background while JoeBiden caught up with the Clintons.”
It has also been noted that Mr Biden’s wife Jill attended the Duke of Sussexes inaugural Invictus Games in 2014.

She was also joined by her husband at the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida.
Many fans jumped to the conclusion that the Biden’s requested the presence of a large mounted picture of the Duke of Sussex for the inauguration.
However, there is no firm evidence to back this up, although there is also no current alternative explanation.
Suggestions of a strain in UK-US relations were also made after Mr Biden removed the bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office, which has been there since World War Two.
Instead, Mr Biden has decided to redesign the display of busts in the room.
The new busts are now of Latino civil rights leader Cesar Chavez, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert F. Kennedy, Rosa Parks, and Eleanor Roosevelt.
President Obama also removed the bust of Churchill, replacing it with one of Martin Luther King Jr.
