Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared fresh details of their wedding day in their new Netflix docu-series. The fiery series has examined the couple’s experience at the forefront of the Royal Family and their later step down as senior working members. The first part of the saga focused on the early days of their relationship and the announcement of their engagement, but in episode four viewers were treated to a closer look at their royal wedding ceremony, in May 2018.

The series included footage of Meghan’s journey to St George’s Chapel in Windsor, through streets lined with excited royal fans.

The Duchess recalled: “What I didn’t know was people would be lining both sides of the street. I mean, this was a 15-minute drive. Me and my mom were like, ‘What is going on? Look at all these people!’”

Upon her arrival at the chapel, Meghan was walked down the aisle by her father-in-law King Charles, as an adoring Prince Harry looked on.

As the pair were united at the altar, they shared a sweet exchange, which was not picked up by microphones in the venue, but has since been deciphered by experts.

According to HELLO! Magazine, one lip reader was able to identify that Prince Harry greeted Meghan with an affectionate: “You look amazing.”

In an unexpectedly candid admission, the Prince then added: “I’m [expletive] it.”

His remark received a light giggle from the Duchess, although other commentators have since suggested the Duke actually said: “Absolutely gorgeous.”

In the Netflix series, Prince Harry explained: “The world was watching us, but when we were actually at the altar, as far as I was concerned, it was just the two of us.”

Shortly after the official ceremony, the couple exited the church and posed for crowds at the top of the steps.

Beaming, Meghan turned to her new husband and asked: “Do we kiss?”

Prince Harry smiled in return and replied “yes,” as the newlyweds shared a peck in front of floods of royal fans and the world’s media.

The series also featured unseen photographs from the couple’s reception, which included a performance from Elton John and a ceremonial cake cutting that involved a sword rather than a traditional knife.

Reflecting on their wedding day, Meghan said: “H and I are really, really good at finding each other in the chaos.”

Throughout the series, the couple fondly referred to one another with the nicknames ‘H’ and ‘M’.

She continued: “When we find each other, we reconnect to, like, ‘Oh it’s you. It’s you.’

“It’s not that the rest of it doesn’t matter – but the rest of it feels temporary.”
