Earlier this month it was announced Harry has joined Silicon Valley firm BetterUp as its chief impact officer. BetterUp provides well-being coaching, primarily to the staff of major companies, with a focus on “inner work”.

Harry claimed he has personally found the service “invaluable” and made it available to all staff working for the Archewell Foundation he founded with Meghan.

Until recently the BetterUp app was only available to big corporations but it does now allow individual subscriptions.

It’s standard price per individual is $499 (£364) per month though a reduced “early interest” offer of $249 (£181) is available until the end of 2021.

The app uses artificial intelligence to monitor an individuals mental fitness over a number of areas and offers personalised coaching to help the users “empowerment”.

Harry recently said: “My goal is to lift up critical dialogues around mental health, build supportive and compassionate communities, and foster an environment for honest and vulnerable conversations.

“We can and will elevate the global conversation around our mental health.

“What we’re doing is about equipping people to thrive.”

The Prince has long been a passionate mental health campaigner, and has spoken about his own struggles which he linked back to the death of his mother.

Harry has been working on a mental health documentary with Oprah Winfrey for Apple TV.

According to the Daily Telegraph BetterUp is worth around $1.73bn (£1.25bn) and is linked to over 2,000 wellbeing coaches.

Describing his use of the service Harry said: “I was matched with a truly awesome coach who has given me sound advice and a fresh perspective.

“Being attuned with your mind, and having a support structure around you, are critical to finding your own version of peak performance.

“What I’ve learned in my own life is the power of transforming pain into purpose.”

Meghan spoke about her own mental health struggles during an incendiary interview with Ms Winfrey for CBS.

The Duchess admitted she’s suffered from loneliness since joining the Royal Family and had experienced suicidal thoughts.

She also claimed there were “concerns and conversation” within the family about Archie’s skin colour ahead of his birth.

In a statement released on behalf of The Queen Buckingham Palace expressed its sadness about Meghan’s struggles, and said the issues raised would be addressed “privately”.

It added “recollections may vary” about some of the events raised by the Sussexes.

Harry and Meghan caused a global sensation in March 2020 when they stepped down as working members of the Royal Family.

After a brief stay in Canada the couple moved to Meghan’s home state of California.

They currently live in a £11.2 million mansion to the north of Los Angeles.

The Sussexes have signed deals to produce a variety of content for Netflix and a podcast for Spotify.
