Prince Harry with huge entourage at US F1 race without Meghan Markle

Prince Harry couldn’t wipe the smile off his face while attending the US Grand Prix – but he was without wife Meghan Markle.

Instead the Duke of Sussex, 39, who is a huge Formula One fan and was spotted getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Mercedes garage in Austin, Texas, was surrounded by his huge entourage according to eyewitnesses.

Harry arrived ahead of the Circuit of the Americas, which will see Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton try to beat firm favorite Max Verstappen.

Steve Myrick said on X: “Just finished walking the paddock @COTA as we get closer to #LightsOut at the #F1 #USGP. Among the celebrity sightings were actor Patrick Dempsey, who raced here for @FIAWEC, and Prince Harry, who had a massive contingent with him. #COTAF1 #ATX.”

Despite being American herself, Meghan wasn’t at the track with her husband, who wore a black polo shirt and dark sunglasses.

It comes after Harry and Meghan showed signs of “tension” after they returned from a romantic getaway weekend in the Caribbean, according to a body language expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex touched down in Atlanta, Georgia, on a private plane after their trip to the island of Canouan in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that the couple seemed to have a “separated look” upon arriving.

James said: “There’s no sign of any lingering post-holiday glow from Meghan’s body language here…

“That romantic, idyllic hand-in-hand pose we saw from Harry and Meghan as they strolled through deserted streets seems to have been replaced by a more separated look as Meghan rushes ahead across the tarmac, leaving Harry to chat to someone as he trails behind.”

The Sussexes appeared to have taken the trip without their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

James added: “Meghan’s unsmiling facial expression and her directive pointing suggest tension here and a desire to rush into the car.

“Harry appears to be in less of a rush although the way both his elbows are raised as he walks could suggest some matching inner tension here.”
