Prince Harry to 'sit 10 rows behind' other royals at coronation

Prince Harry will sit at least 10 rows back from the rest of the Royal Family at the coronation, Princess Diana’s former butler has claimed.

As preparations for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey spearhead, speculations about what a reunion between the California-based royal, King Charles and Prince William would look like has only intensified.

Now, Paul Burrell has stressed there is ‘no chance’ of a reconciliation between the father and his two sons during the visit during which he will not be accompanied by Meghan Markle.

He told GB News the Duke of Sussex ‘does not want to spend much time around them’.

But the feeling seems to be mutual as Mr Burrell said Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, will get a ‘very icy reception from the Windsors’.

‘It is not a surprise, he is coming to show face. He is coming to put his foot in the door and he is coming because his father wants him to be there,’ Mr Burrell said.

‘His father will be delighted that his sons will be there to witness this incredible day in his life. But Harry is not going to hang around.’

This comes after Harry finally confirmed he would be attending but without his wife and children, who will remain in their home in Montecito.

After the publication of his biography Spare, the relationship between them had only worsened, and for awhile it appeared as if Harry was not going to attend at all.

But Metro.co.uk reported earlier this month he and Charles had a ‘heart to heart’ before it was agreed he will attend the event.

It was claimed the pair had spoken and there was a ‘willingness and wanting to mend on both sides’ after a tumultuous few months.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Harry will skip the coronation concert and head back home to celebrate his son Prince Archie’s birthday.

Whatever the relationship between him and Charles right now, when it comes to the court of public opinion, it is damned if you do, damned if you don’t for the duke.

Former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan blasted the couple on Thursday’s episode of Uncensored, adding he was ‘unhappy’ that Harry was going to attend.
