Prince Harry snub: How Duke ‘threw Queen’s warm words’ in Her Majesty’s face over ‘Megxit’
Mr. Dampier has said that Prince Harry “threw the Queen’s warm words” about his future back in her face after he packed his Sentebale speech with hidden messages addressing his plans with Meghan Markle outside of the monarchy. In an interview with Fabulous Digital, Mr. Dampier said: “Harry’s speech to the Sentebale dinner reminded me greatly of King Edward VIII’s abdication address. He even sounded like him at times!”
Prince Harry began his speech by saying: “So, I want you to hear the truth from me, as much as I can share – not as a Prince, or a Duke, but as Harry.” Mr. Dampier accuses Prince Harry of making sure he gets his last word against the Queen, by “trying to make people like him and get down on the same level as his charity.”
The expert added: “He’s also distancing himself from the Palace in an act of defiance and trying to carve out a separate identity.”
There is a section of the Duke’s speech where he declares his love for the UK in spite of the fact he is emigrating to Canada.
“The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change.”
However, Mr. Dampier has said this is hypocritical of Prince Harry who has previously made comments that oppose this statement.
He explained: “He says the UK is his home and a place that he loves.
“But in previous interviews, Harry has said he doesn’t like this country and wanted to leave.
“I can’t help feeling this speech was all about a damage limitation exercise, PR spin to make it easier for him to come home when he likes.”
The royal author also believes that Prince Harry is beginning to maybe go slightly “potty” perhaps with all the media attention focused on him.

Mr. Dampier said: “I always think people are going a bit potty when they start talking about themselves in the third person as Harry did.
This comes as the Duke made reference to his mother, in a poignant moment where he talked about becoming a married man.
“Finally, the second son of Diana got hitched, hurray!”
There have been rumours swirling that Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles are largely still at odds.
It has been claimed that Prince Charles has warned the Sussex’s off cashing in on their royal titles by branding items that will cheapen the royal brand.
A source said: “No one wants to see the Sussexes’ name on a tub of margarine.”
Prince Charles has also been alleged to say that there is not “unlimited resources” to fund the Sussex’s lavish lifestyle.
Although Meghan and Prince Harry have claimed that they do not want public funding, it has been unclear how they will maintain jet-setting from their own pockets.
Recently Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos expressed his interest in potentially pushing a partnership with the royal couple “Who wouldn’t be interested? Yes, sure.”
This could mean that the Sussex’s will soon begin to produce their own documentaries for the streaming service.
