Prince Harry is to appear on TV at approximately 9am BST (8pm New Zealand time), it has been announced. The Duke of Sussex has recorded a message for the programme Te Ao with Moana, an award-winning show on Maori TV.  

The nature of his announcement hasn’t been disclosed, but the programme has teased on Twitter the royal will share a “special announcement” with its viewers. 

Stressing the Duke’s appearance won’t be an interview, the Twitter account of Te Ao with Moana shared: “Tonight we have an interview with academy award winning actor Wes Studi and a special announcement (not an interview) by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.”  

The tweet included an 11-second-long clip showing Prince Harry speaking to the camera from his home in California. 

The Duke appears relaxed in a dark jacket and white shirt. 

This clip offered a glimpse into Harry’s home in the star-studded Santa Barbara neighbourhood of Montecito, where he moved with his wife Meghan Markle and son Archie Harrison in the summer of 2020.
