Prince Harry is wished a ‘Happy Birthday’ at Invictus Games

Harry and veteran’s Minsiter Johnny Mercer have been spotted enjoying a pint at the Invictus Games.

The men were seen enjoying their beers at the Paralympic-style event for wounded ex servicemen and women which is underway in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Victoria Ward, who is the royal correspondent at the Daily Telegraph, tweeted: “Here they come.

“Harry sitting next to @JohnnyMercerUK and both men have got pints of beer.

“Don’t think Meghan (in Carolina Hererra) has one.”

The Duchess of Sussex flew out for the final day of competition, while her husband Harry has been there since the start.

Earlier in the week Meghan made a speech where she spoke of the reason for her absence at the start of the competition – explaining she had to get her children “settled down” before she could fly out, particularly Prince Archie as he had to be dropped off at school.

The pair made royal fans go wild when they appeared together, attending a glitzy reception for 1,600 athletes and their friends and family.

And the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also made sure to mark Harry’s 39th birthday – by drinking beer at a German brewery.

It’s reported that the couple stayed at a lavish £2,000-a-night hotel in Dusseldorf at an expansive suite on the 17th floor of the Hyatt Regency hotel.

They were understood to be staying in a stunning sky-high Presidential suite at the luxury hotel that offers stunning views across The Rhine.

Harry took inspiration from the late American president JFK as he opened the Invictus Games that ends tomorrow (Saturday, September 16).
