Prince Harry may become more ’emotionally open’ to fit in with Americans

Lady Julie Montagu was originally born in Illinois before she moved across the pond to South West London 25 years ago. The 47-year-old married Luke Timothy Charles Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke, the son of the 11th Earl of Sandwich. As a result, she has now revealed the vital differences between UK and US attitudes that could now apply to Harry as he transitions into Hollywood life.

“I feel like he has found somebody that he can be emotionally open with and I think that’s a really good thing,

“Family becomes the most important thing.”

Ms Montagu, who manages the Mapperton Estate in Dorset alongside her husband, also explained that Americans are often more relaxed in their manner than the British.

She told Town and Country Magazine: “I always say whenever you meet an American, you know their life story within 24 hours.

“We’re very emotionally open, which I think for Harry is actually a really good thing.”

“He’ll be able to talk about his feelings, probably more than he was able to talk about over here.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to hear a little bit more about how he feels about losing his mother at age 12, and maybe how he and Megan were treated in the press over here.”

Lady Julie who has four children, Emma 21, and Jack 18 from her first marriage, and William, 15, and Nestor 13, with her current husband Luke who she met at a party back in 2002.

The former American yoga teacher and nutrition expert has since appeared on BRAVO television show Ladies of London in 2014.

Previously she explained that she felt sympathy toward Meghan and Harry after her own transition to another culture.

She had told People magazine: “People can tell you and they can try to prepare you, but you don’t know. There is a real difference between Britain and America.

“We may speak the same language, but it’s completely two different cultures, and more so with the royal family. There are traditions. There are protocols.”

It comes as royal expert Duncan Larcombe claimed that Harry may be viewed by members of Hollywood elite as Meghan’s “plus one”.

In an interview with Closer magazine, Mr Larcombe claimed that Harry could be feeling “helpless” that he is unable to assist his family, particularly after Prince Charles has just recovered from coronavirus.

It is believed that Harry wishes he was back in the UK to help raise spirits amid coronavirus pandemic.

The expert explained: “Harry didn’t go to university and he hasn’t had much work experience other than being in the army and charity work.

“Being in Hollywood is likely to make him feel like a duck out of water, as it will be tricky for him to find a suitable role.”

Meghan and Harry are currently self-isolating in LA at a rumoured million dollar mansion with their young son Archie.

The pair have recently stopped posting on their former Sussex Royal Instagram account which remains open for now.

It was announced they are planning to launch a new organisation called “Archewell” in the coming months.
