Prince Harry made a number of incendiary claims about the Royal Family in his sit down chat with Oprah. He said he felt let down by his father, Prince Charles, and opened up on his rift with older brother Prince William. The Duke is now engaged in peace talks with the Royal Family, but an expert has suggested Harry is feeling “lonely” and “isolated”.
Royal commentator Daniela Elser has said the Duke might be feeling “a tad lonely” following the aftermath of his bombshell interview with with Meghan Markle.
She also said it was strange none of his friends in the UK have spoken out in support of the couple, noting that several of Meghan’s friends have.
Writing for news.com.au, Ms Elser said: “All of the loudest voices, so far, are people from Meghan’s side of the aisle.
“While the LA side of their social circle have come out en demonstrative masse, from London? Crickets.”
She said there is “something startling about the silence”.
Ms Elser added: “Surely now would be the moment for a well-placed Eton chum or two (with permission, mind) to offer up a sympathetic interview or a quote here and there to help Brits understand what the formerly beloved British son is going through right now.
“… it’s hard not to wonder, might Harry be a tad lonely right now?
She also suggested Meghan and Harry have seen a shift in their circumstances, pointing out that when the Duchess first moved to the UK she felt socially isolated – which could be how the Duke is feeling now.

Ms Elser said: “When Meghan moved to London in 2017, she found herself unmoored from her social circle and emotional support base and suffered an increasingly isolated existence.
“So is the mirror image of that happening now?”
It comes after Gayle King, a close friend of Meghan’s, openly discussed peace talks between Harry and senior royals.
The US anchor revealed the chat has so far been unproductive.

Speaking on the CBS This Morning show, Ms King said: “Well, I did actually call them [Meghan and Harry] to see how they were feeling, it’s true, Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father, too.
“The word I was given was, those conversations were not productive but they are glad they at least started a conversation.”
The claims made by Ms King are understood to have infuriated aides at the Palace, as the Queen had wanted to keep details of the talks under wraps.
Harry opened up about his time as a senior royal during his two-hour interview with Oprah.
He said he felt “trapped” while he was a senior royal and claimed Prince Charles and Prince William are also “trapped” by the institution.
Harry also revealed his father stopped taking calls from him for a while, after the Sussexes informed him of their decision to step down as senior royals.
He also said he wants to “heal” his relationship with his father, despite being hurt by his actions.
The Duke told Oprah: “I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar. He knows what pain feels like.”
