Prince Harry left out secret details in Spare over fears of enraging William
Prince Harry reportedly left out secret details in his tell-all memoir Spare over fears that he would enrage his elder brother, Prince William.
Harry released his highly-anticipated memoir back in January, 18 months after its initial announcement.
In the 416-page read, Harry shared various claims about his time as a senior royal, including candid ones about William.
Despite this, it now appears that Harry’s claims were just the tip of the iceberg as he was previously warned that he had enough for a potential second book.
Just days after Spare’s release, Harry stated that he had left out some anecdotes about his father and brother as he feared that they may not forgive him if they were revealed to the world.

Following its release, Harry revealed that the original manuscript was twice the length of the actual release, and it included many details that ended up being cut.
He had also struggled at times over what he should reveal, and what not to – sharing that more than 50 Zoom calls were made to his ghostwriter.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Harry said: “It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.”
Harry added: “There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me.”

Although some details were not shared, Harry shared a few details including a physical altercation between him and William at Kensington Palace in 2019.
Harry claimed that his brother “snapped” as a discussion over his wife Meghan Markle turned physical.
William had reportedly referred to Meghan as “rude and abrasive”, leading Harry to get defensive.
The Duke of Sussex claimed that his elder brother had “grabbed” him by the collar and “knocked me to the floor”.

Speaking to the Mirror’s podcast Pod Save The King, Dr Ed Owens said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to “air their dirty laundry” has damaged the idea of a family monarchy.
As well as this, Harry and Meghan are reportedly not on speaking terms with either the King or the Prince and Princess of Wales.
With personal relations in tatters, Dr Owens, who is the author of the new book ‘After Elizabeth: Can the Monarchy Save Itself?’, added that the damaging claims have also dented the Royal Family’s image of being the “best of British family life”.
