Since stepping down as senior royals two years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan have had an ongoing feud with the Royal Family. However, according to royal author Christopher Anderson, the couple could be “in too deep” with their external deals, if the pair, in particular Harry, wants to reconnect with the Royal Family.
Speaking on a recent episode of Royally Us, host Christina Garibaldi asked Mr Anderson if the couple are “in too deep” and have “no choice” with their book deals now.
The royal author responded: “I do.
“The Netflix deal, I mean, they’ve set up a new life for themselves as, you know, philanthropists and, kind of, communications moguls with the Spotify deal, the Netflix deal, all this other [deals] going on.
“So really, their hands are tied, I think to some extent.”
He noted that they want to the “full and true story” of their time within the Royal Family, adding, “and let’s be honest, it’s not a pretty one”.
In September 2020, just a few months after stepping down as senior royals, the couple signed their multi-million dollar deal with Netflix.
Since 2020, the couple have also used their new-found freedom to vocalise their experience as senior royals, much to the dismay of the Royal Family.
In 2021, the Sussexes sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a bombshell interview.
Russell Myers says he thought title of Harry's memoir 'was a meme'
Meghan spoke of her personal struggles with her mental health during her time in The Firm.
The 41-year-old told Oprah she reached a breaking point.
In the interview, she said: “I just didn’t see a solution. I would sit up at night.”
