The 37-year-old Duke of Sussex has been praised by rapper Snoop Dogg, 49 for snubbing former US president Donald Trump from the guestlist for his wedding to Meghan Markle. Prince Harry and Meghan, 40, wed on May 19, 2018, and the former president was rebuffed by the Royal Family after Harry stopped him from attending the nuptials.

The couple relocated to California, with son Archie Harrison in early 2020 after stepping down from royal duties.

Since living in the US the couple has completed a number of philanthropic efforts, and also welcomed their second child Lilibet Diana in June, whose name pays tribute to Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

The American hip hop star Snoop Dogg, who lives close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in LA, opened up about his unlikely friendship with both Prince Harry and his brother Prince William in an interview with The Mirror.

When speaking to the outlet, Snoop Dogg said he “respects” the couple for leading their lives on their own terms outside of the monarchy.

He added that he supports Harry and Meghan despite “the whole world judging them”, and claims that the prince has “big b****” for leaving Mr Trump off his wedding guest list.

He said: “I said Prince Harry had big b when he didn’t invite Trump to his wedding. And now, for real, I say he’s got an even bigger set of b.

“Him and Meghan are living their lives like they want and that can’t be an easy thing with the whole world judging them. They got to live life their way – they get a lot of respect from me for that.”

The couple were also the lucky recipients of an invitation to “Snoop’s crib”, and claimed that the royals would be in for “something special” if they chose to attend.

The performer noted that he learnt all of his cooking skills from renowned chef, Gordon Ramsay, 54 whom he refers to as “my boy Gordon”.

He says: “People didn’t think I could cook.

“They saw my cooking show and now they know that I can. I met up with my boy Gordon and he has taught me a few things.”

He says: “David is my boy – he is busy in Miami with his franchise but we still speak. We have been friends for 15 years now.

“He loves hip hop, I love soccer. It was always going to be a friendship that worked.

“The first time I took him for lunch it was for chicken and waffles and next time we meet I am going to make it for him.”
