Sources claim the Prince of Wales is still angry over his son’s tell-all sit-down with Oprah Winfrey. During the incendiary chat alongside wife Meghan Markle – the couple accused the Royal Family of racism.
This prompted a firm public rebuttal from Prince William.
Combined with the fallout from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepping back as senior royals, this has led to frosty relations between Charles and his second son.
Now a source claims that the heir to the throne can see no way for him to repair his relationship with Harry, 36.
The source said “the way things are going, Charles may never forgive Harry”.
But they added that this stance has caused friction with the Queen – with the ill relations described as “drama she can do without”.
They told Us Weekly: “With the way things are going, Charles may never forgive Harry, which hasn’t gone down well with Elizabeth.
“She feels that he’s putting his pride before the best interest of the monarchy.
“She has enough on her plate dealing with the loss of her husband. It’s drama she can do without.”

The Queen is still grieving following the death of her husband of 73 years. The Duke of Edinburgh died aged 99 in March.
The Queen’s consort had supported her unquestionably for decades and she now has to deal with this ongoing crisis without his support.
All this comes as fears mount that Meghan, 39, and Harry could reveal more embarrassing details about their time in the Royal Family.
To try and stave this off, Prince William has reportedly decided to keep things “civil”.
A source said: “He believes that in order to repair damage and destruction from Harry’s interview, the best approach is to keep things civil with his brother rather than fanning the flames and fighting back with a tit-for-tat attitude.”
The fact that the Duke of Sussex now lives in America has added further complications.
He jetted back to Britain last month to attend his grandfather’s funeral at Windsor Castle.
It has been widely reported that Harry, Charles and Prince William met after the ceremony to talk, but this has not been confirmed.
The trio are said to have tried to discuss their differences and problems, especially in the wake of the controversial interview.
But this appears to have had little effect in improving relations.
The news emerged as journalist Tom Brady spoke about the mental strain the Sussexes were under during their tour of Africa in 2019.
The ITV newsreader, who followed them for the Harry and Meghan: An African Journey film, also spoke about his own mental health issues during an interview with The Times.
He said that he “was clearly influenced by my own experience and I didn’t think they were in great shape, and so I altered the way I was planning to do the documentary”.
He added: “I don’t regret doing that. There may be other times in the future in a whole range of subjects that I will alter my approach if I sense something similar.”
The broadcaster explained he could not do his job without “a reasonable degree of empathy”.
He added that in terms of Meghan he “felt like there was an untold story there” and he “decided to try to bring that side out”.
