Prince Harry ‘dependent on Meghan Markle’ after leaving Royal Family says expert

Prince Harry’s departure as a senior member of the Royal Family and move to California has come at a “great cost”, according to one royal expert.

Meghan Markle and the Duke of Sussex, 39, announced their decision to step back as senior royals in January 2020, and now Prince Harry is said to be more reliant on his wife and former Suits star, 42.

Journalist and author Dampier suggested Prince Harry was now more “dependent” on his wife for social experiences.

Speaking to Fabulous Magazine, Dampier claimed the royal had lost “a lot of friends” as well as his “family, royal status and military connections” after the so-called Megxit.

Dampier went on to say: “I get the impression he hasn’t got a circle of drinking buddies he can unwind within Montecito, which has a population of older people, and I’m sure that takes its toll.”

However, Prince Harry has had many engagements which have kept him busy.

Not only did he have the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany back in September but was at a mental health summit in New York recently.

Additionally, Prince Harry went on a trip to Austin, Texas where he visited a race track a couple of weeks ago.

He looked happy and relaxed as he smiled and waves to the cameras.

In pictures posted on X, formerly Twitter, Meghan was holding her daughter Princess Lilibet in her arms as they were out and about.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry was holding hands with his son Prince Archie as the youngster also had a pumpkin-style bucket for his treats.

The photographer of the image is unknown but the Duke and Duchess’ now-unused Instagram account @sussexroyal was tagged in the post.
