Showbiz Reporter Michelle Eagleton, speaking to Stephen Dixon on GB News, said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not expected to meet the Cambridges, despite being only a half-mile away from them in Windsor, and nor will they see Prince Charles or the Queen. The Sussex’s, who are back in the UK for what is expected to be just under a week, are staying at Frogmore Cottage on the monarch’s Windsor estate, while the Cambridges are nearby at their new home Adelaide Cottage. Ms Eagleton suggested the Royal Family are hesitant to speak to Harry and Meghan prior to the release of the prince’s new tell-all memoir, to be released in November, and a documentary about the couple to be made public in December.
Mr Dixon said: “They are staying at Frogmore [Cottage] for most of the time they are in the UK. William and Kate are only half a mile down the road. They are not expected to meet, are they?”
Ms Eagleton said: “No, they are not. They landed in the UK on Saturday, so they have had a day to go and see them.
“There has been no news that they have seen William and Kate and, as you said, they are not expected to see Charles either.
“Charles has got work commitments. The Queen, of course, is in Balmoral.
“I think the thing is that there is a lot of trust lost between William and Harry, and I do think they are probably not going to have that meeting again until after that book is released, which we know is coming in November from Harry, because we are hearing it is not going to be so good for the royals.
“And, of course, we have got their documentary that is coming out on Netflix in December. So, I just think a wide-berth despite the fact they are half a mile down the road and you would think they would give them a bit of a visit.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will later make their first public appearance in the UK since returning for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The trip comes just days after Meghan’s wide-ranging interview with The Cut magazine in which she said it takes “a lot of effort” to forgive and hinted that she can “say anything”.
The former Suits actress said that “just by existing” she and Harry were “upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy” before they stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
Reports suggest the pair touched down on British soil on Saturday but a spokeswoman for the couple declined to confirm their arrival.
The couple are going to Manchester on Monday for the One Young World summit, an event that brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries.
Meghan, a counsellor for the organisation, will give the keynote address at the opening ceremony.

The pair will also meet a group of summit delegates doing “outstanding work on gender equality”, One Young World said.
Next stop is Germany for the Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year To Go event which is taking place on Tuesday, before they return to the UK for the WellChild Awards in London where Harry will deliver a speech on Thursday.
Their visit to the UK will be the first time they have been back in the country since the Jubilee celebrations in early June, when they attended the service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.
Discussing the anticipation of Harry’s new book, a royal source close to the Queen said Her Majesty does not “want to be on tenterhooks all the time, waiting to see what the next nuclear bomb will be”.
They added that it is hard to see that what Harry and Meghan are doing “would equate to the values of the Queen, who has never encouraged people to discuss deeply personal family relationships in public”.
