Prince George: ‘Great choice’ – England football team send royal surprise birthday treat

The England football official account was one of the first to send the third in line to the throne happy birthday wishes on Instagram. “Great choice of shirt,” the post said. Football fan George reportedly wants his birthday to be a low-key affair.

Dressed casually in a white England shirt, the schoolboy appears to be following in the footsteps of his football-loving dad Prince William, who is president of the Football Association and an Aston Villa supporter.

Prince George has showed his love of the beautiful game after a cute photo of him wearing a replica white England football shirt, which was released by Kensington Palace to mark his sixth birthday.

The eldest child of Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, who turns six tomorrow, beamed a huge smile and could not contain his laughter in a series of snaps to mark the special occasion.

In one picture, George stands proud in the colours of the three lions as he grins down the camera lens for his mother Kate.

Prince George is a bit of a favourite of the Queen who, royal insiders claim, “goes out of her way to spend time with him”, according to The Sun.

The Sun’s Fabulous magazine reports that “the Queen takes time to select little presents that she leaves at the foot of George’s bed every time he stays over”.

The third in line to the throne will have his third birthday on Monday, July 22.

Prince George is celebrating his sixth birthday at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

While George may be the Queen’s favourite, the royal insider claimed and his number one uncle is allegedly Mike Tindall because he doesn’t take himself seriously.

It has been claimed that George’s natural inclination is to be more serious than Charlotte.

He is also known to be shyer than his little sister, however his father Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, has repeatedly implied in interviews that young George can be “a handful”.

A royal insider claimed that he may appear shy at first, but once George is comfortable in your company, he is an open, chatty and deeply inquisitive little boy.
