The Earl of Wessex has lived in the Surrey estate, near Guildford, since 1998 where he leased it for 50 years. Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, moved in a year later, with the couple staying put in the 51 acre grounds’ mansion during England’s third coronavirus lockdown.

In his latest video call appearance, Edward thanked North Yorkshire community leaders and first responders for their efforts during the pandemic.

He said in a video clip posted to the Royal Family’s Twitter account: “Just want to thank you for all the hard work you’ve done over the past year.

“It’s been a long year but thank you for all that you’ve done, it’s been absolutely brilliant and it’s great to hear the spotty of the community up there.

“And I wish you the very best of luck, thank you for your time again this morning.”

But to the left of the Earl are two orange velvet cushions, which match the rooms orange and gold Venetian window blinds.

HELLO! reported the carvings featured on the blinds resemble Moroccan architecture, showing a “beautiful contrast”.

Sophie also shared a look into the Bagshot Park room last June, in another video call appearance.

The Countess appeared in a “webinar” for the Women’s Network Forum, which aims to advance gender equality in the workplace.

Because of the royals working from home throughout the pandemic, Edward and Sophie have also shared looks into the other grand rooms of Bagshot Park.

In April last year, when Edward was opening the NHS Nightingale in Bristol, royal fans got a view of the Earl’s home office.

The room featured a wall-to-ceiling wooden bookshelf, with several trinkets and framed photos, and is designed with the same carved wooden walls seen in the newest Bagshot video.

Sophie also shared a look into the Bagshot Park family kitchen in a video call with Thames Valley Air Ambulance last year.

The patron of the service showed off dark navy cabinets with glass panels, and a large selection of fine china including teapots, teacups and saucers on glass shelves.

Another angle given in the video revealed cream walls, navy shelves matching the cabinet frames, a glass jar with a gold rim and a small glass vase holding a single orchid flower.
