Natalie Oliveri told 9Honey that Prince Charles’ decision not to grant Archie a Royal Family title when he becomes king as part of his larger plans to slim down the monarchy. The royal commentator added that the Prince of Wales does not want the UK taxpayer paying millions and millions of pounds to fund a bloated monarchy.
Ms Oliveri said: “In 2012 the Queen actually changed it which entitled all the Cambridge children to be known as HRH rather than just George so they are also included in this at the moment.
“What it would do is that it would remove Archie’s entitlement to be a prince.
“Under the current rules, Archie is entitled to become a prince when Charles becomes king.
“But Prince Charles is reportedly planning to change that.
“It is all part of his plan to slim down the monarchy.”
She added: “When Meghan and Harry spoke to Oprah, Meghan linked this to race.
“People are saying it has nothing to do with race and it is all about cost.
“Charles does not want that taxpayer footing this huge bill because it is millions and millions of pounds every year.”
Meghan and Harry: Royals 'fed up of behaviour' says host
It comes as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have sparked chaos with claims made since they parted from the Firm.
In March 2021, Meghan Markle claimed in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey the Royal Family did not want her child to be a prince or princess.
She said: “They were saying they didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol.”
During the interview, the Duchess of Sussex referred to a “George V or George VI convention” that would mean her son Archie would become a prince “when Harry’s dad becomes king”.

However, Meghan said she had been informed the Royal Family “want to change the convention for Archie” meaning he would not become a prince.
Despite the claims from Meghan, the children of Harry and Meghan would have to wait until Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, became king, at which point they would be the grandchildren of the monarch and hence entitled to be princes or princesses.
“I saw that Meghan mentioned that there were plans to narrow eligibility and I imagine that this is a reference to the Prince of Wales’s stated view that the size of the royal family needs to be reduced,” said Bob Morris from the Constitution Unit at UCL.
“However, he has not so far as I know given details of how it should be accomplished.”
Following the interview, the Royal Family released a statement.
It read: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
