Prince Charles ‘LEFT OUT’ of Harry and William’s life as Diana continues to overshadow him
Prince Charles has always been very protective of his sons Prince William and Prince Harry and worked alongside his late ex-wife, Princess Diana, to shield the pair from excessive media attention. The Prince of Wales has been often “left out” when discussing the impact he has had on his children as attention remained on the influence Diana has and will continue to have on them both. Historian Kate Williams told Quest Red: “William and Harry always talk so much about how they had a marvellous childhood.
“Diana was always there for them, making life fun, taking them out on exciting places, spending time with them.
“I think there has been a degree of focus on Diana as a marvellous mother and perhaps Charles has been left out.”
Despite the focus of the public tending to be on The Princess of Wales, both Prince William and Prince Harry have repeatedly spoken out about the support they have received from their father while growing up and settling into their adult lives.
Dr Williams continued: “They said they also owed a lot to their father and he taught them so much, too.

“What they are and what they’ll give to their children they take from both parents.”
While celebrating their father’s 70th birthday last year, Prince William and Prince Harry shed light on the positive lessons they had learned from Prince Charles through the years.
Prince William revealed the Prince of Wales lives “the way he advocates” when it comes to his environmental beliefs and passed on his beliefs down to both his sons.
Prince Charles is renowned for his environmentalist stance and has long been an ardent campaigner for the planet so it can be preserved for future generations.
Recalling the memory, William revealed: “He took us litter picking, when we were younger, on holiday.
“We were in Norfolk on school holidays and went out litter picking with him. Both of us thought ‘This is perfectly normal, everyone must do it’.
“We’re there with our, basically, spikes, stabbing the rubbish into black plastic bags.”
Prince Charles’ commitment to supporting for the environment sparked concerns about the world his grandchildren – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Prince Harry’s first child with Meghan Markle – will be living in as adults.
The Prince of Wales last year told the Daily Mail: “I would be if we would just stop b*****ing about with the planet.
“I just worry about the sort of world my grandchildren are going to live in.”
The heir to the throne has long campaigned for the preservation of the world’s “natural assets” to ensure they “endure for future generations”.
Over the years The Prince of Wales has launched many different sustainability initiatives.
He has campaigned for decades to raise awareness of environmental issues, like plastic pollution and climate change.
The projects, which are largely “aimed at delivering practical outcomes” include The Prince’s Rainforest Project, Accounting for Sustainability and the International Sustainability Unit.
