Prince Charles left amused by Australian filmmaker’s embarrassing wardrobe malfunction

In her memoir, Lyndall Hobbs, recalled the moment she caught the young Prince gazing at her chest after she suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. The pair had been partying the night away at the exclusive private members club Annabel’s, when the elastic on her leopard-skin dress snapped and exposed one of her breasts. Ms Hobbs who previously dated Hollywood star Al Pacino, had been partying in Mayfair with the Prince and one of his ex-girlfriends Sabrina Guinness.

In her book, Ms Hobbs claims Prince Charles told everyone about the encounter including his mother, The Queen.

In her memoir she wrote: “According to my friend Sabrina Guinness he was highly amused by the faulty dress, or so he told everyone, including the Queen, as they took tea at Windsor a few days later.”

In the tell-all book, the Melbourne-born filmmaker also recalled the time she stayed at Sandringham with Al Pacino.

At the Queen’s official Norfolk residence, there was much less drama and Ms Hobbs said everyone went to be “quite early”.

Ms Hobbs gave an insight into the regimented routine of the Prince and described being made to wake up at 8.30am for breakfast as “exhausting”.

She said: “Then, being told by Prince Charles, ‘See you for breakfast at 8.30’, when we’d been used to getting up at 4.30pm, was just exhausting.”

Prince Charles who turned 71-year-old this year, will return to Sandringham, for the festive season with the royal family.

Last month it was confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will break tradition and will not spend Christmas with the royals.

The Palace confirmed Meghan, Harry and their six-month-old son Archie will be spending the festive season with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.

The Palace acknowledged the decision is not a complete surprise as other members of the Royal Family have previously chosen to spend Christmas elsewhere, and the decision has been approved by The Queen.

In both 2012 and 2016 Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge spent Christmas with her parents Carole and Michael Middleton.

In a statement the Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month.
