The Sussexes’ caused a global sensation when they were interviewed by US talkshow legend Oprah Winfrey in March. Meghan discussed her mental health difficulties and said there were “concerns and conversations” within the family about Archie’s skin tone prior to his birth.
Harry was reunited with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last month for Prince Philip’s funeral.
However, one royal expert argued the dispute between the Sussexes’ and other royals “will not be solved”.
Royal expert Molly Mulshine suggested this could fit into Charles’ reported plan for a “slimmed down monarchy”.
Speaking on the Royally Us podcast, which she co-hosts, Ms Mulshine said: “It must have been really hard to even broach the subject when they were dealing with the funeral while Harry was back.
“Of course we all know that Charles is working towards, he wants a slimmed down monarchy and it seems that this might be killing two birds with one stone, right.”
Christina Garibaldi, the other Royally Us co-host, claimed the Sussexes’ relationship with the Royal Family remains tense.
She commented: “There really wasn’t much progress made when Harry was back in the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral and Prince Charles is pretty, pretty mad that this tell-all interview happened.”
Ms Garibaldi later said it “seems like Charles is totally freezing Harry out”.
During the interview with Ms Winfrey Meghan claimed there were “concerns and conversations” within the Royal Family about Archie’s skin colour before he was born in 2019.
She added: “That was relayed to me from Harry.
“Those were conversations that family had with him.”
Harry confirmed the discussion took place adding: “That conversation, I am never going to share.

“At the time, it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.”
Both Meghan and Harry declined to name which Royal Family member had made the remarks, but Oprah later said the Duke had told her it was not the Queen or Philip.
In response, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of the Queen stating “some recollections may vary” about the events described.
Appearing on talkRADIO royal writer Charlie Rae argued relations between the Sussexes’ and wider Royal Family are unlikely to be repaired.
He said: “Out in the US, Harry looks like a startled rabbit caught in the headlights.
“I believe that this is a problem that will never go away, it will not be solved.
“I do not believe that William and Charles will be extending their open arms again to Harry in the light of what he said.
“They slagged off Kate. I think it’s too far now.”
The Sussexes are currently living in a £11.2 million mansion to the north of Los Angeles.
They recently agreed a multi-year partnership with consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble.
