Charles is the seventh royal to live at the London residence. When he moved in he had portraits of the Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, and the Queen Mother, then the Duchess of York, moved to be near each other in the library.

The pictures were previously kept on different floors of the property, Crown Chronicles reported.

Charles moved into Clarence House, which was built between 1825 and 1827, in 2003.

The property is his and Camilla’s official residence.

The Queen Mother lived at the property from 1953 to 2002.

Clarence House underwent renovations before Charles moved in.

The refurbishment was to “reflect the change of occupancy” while also “ maintaining the familiar atmosphere of a much-loved family house”, according to the Royal Family’s website.

The portraits Charles moved together can be seen in the background of images shared by Emma Barnett at Clarence House where the Duchess of Cornwall was guest editing BBC Radio 5 Live’s The Emma Barnett Show.

In a pre-recorded interview for the show, Camilla discussed life in lockdown.

She revealed that Charles is fighting fit after recovering from coronavirus earlier this
year.

Camilla said: “He is probably the fittest man of his age I know. He’ll walk and walk and walk.

“He’s like a mountain goat, he leaves everybody miles behind.”

She also opened up about looking forward to hugging her grandchildren.

Camilla said: “You’re so excited because you haven’t seen them for three-and-a-half months … Your first reaction is to run up and hug them, and you have to sort of put up your hands. It’s a very odd feeling.”

And she revealed how she has used the internet to keep in touch with friends and family.

The duchess said: “I’m ashamed to say that I really hated the internet. I didn’t understand it and I thought, ‘what’s the point of this?’.

“Since the lockdown, it’s been so brilliant because I’ve been able to communicate with family, my children, my friends.

“But it’s also taught children … otherwise children who aren’t at school what would they have done without it?”

Camilla also admitted to enjoying wearing jeans during the lockdown.

She said: “I’ve been very, very happy with my jeans. It will be very hard to get out of them again. I think you get into a sort of way of life, don’t you?”

Charles and Camilla spent much of the lockdown at their Birkhall residence in Scotland.
They returned to Clarence House last month.
