Photographs show the Duke of York hosting a private shooting party with select guests at the Queen’s private 550-acre Balmoral estate. The shooting party comes despite the legal challenge facing Andrew which takes place in New York on Monday. This week Virginia Giuffre’s lawyers said they have secured the testimony of two key witnesses who say they saw Andrew with her on two separate occasions.

In a 2019 Newsnight interview, the Duke of York said he had “no recollection” of meeting Ms Giuffre.

Royal sources have described the Duke of York’s behaviour as “brazen”.

One royal source, speaking to The Sun, last night said: “This is so brazen it is unbelievable.

“Prince Andrew is carrying on as nothing has happened.

“It is as if he hasn’t got a care in the world.”

A separate royal source told The Sun that the Duke of York angered senior courtiers at Balmoral by travelling 500 miles to the Highlands on Tuesday with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

They said: “It looks like he is running to mummy and that she is almost harbouring him.

“No one wants Andrew near Balmoral.”

Ms Giuffre claims she was sexually assaulted by Andrew in London and has made a civil case against him.

The Duke of York has denied any wrongdoing and claims to have no recollection of ever meeting Ms Giuffre.

Andrew’s legal team insist “it is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship” with Ms Giuffre” and “any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation”.
