Harry & Meghan documentary series teased in Netflix trailer

Prince Harry is said to have reached out to Prince William to “call a truce” and discuss a potential return to the UK, with insiders claiming he is concerned about finances.

After they stepped down from being working members of the Royal Family in 2020, Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to the US, where they are raising their two children, four-year-old Prince Archie Harrison and two-year-old Princess Lilibet Diana. But the young family’s future could be in the UK.

An insider told In Touch: “Harry admitted he’d phoned William to call a truce and told his brother he and Meghan would be open to going back to London, where they would serve King Charles.”

They continued: “Obviously, Megxit has blown up in their faces. Harry is starting to wonder if they made the right decision leaving England. He’s even suggested to Meghan that they return to London and the Royal Family.”

The source claimed that William was left “stunned” and told his brother that “he would think about his offer”. They added that Meghan was both “taken aback” and “livid” at Harry reaching out.

This comes after the collapse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s $20million (£15.5million) Spotify deal with both parties making the “mutual decision” to part ways.

The couple can still rely on their deal with Netflix, with a spokesperson for the streaming service telling The Mirror: “The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value.”

Harry and Meghan have returned to the UK on a few occasions since moving to California and recently vacated their royal residence of Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate meaning they no longer have a base.

Former Royal butler Grant Harrold told the New York Post in May that Harry could buy another property. He said: “I’d never say never, it’s always possible that one day he might want to come home, it’s possible that he might buy [a property] here if he wanted to come over [more] and Meghan didn’t want to come over.”
