POLL: Which is your favourite royal wedding dress?

Kate, Princess of Wales and Prince William travelled to Jordon earlier this week alongside Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to attend the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Saudi Arabian architect Rajwa Al-Saif.

The lavish occasion gave fans the opportunity to reflect upon the royal weddings of the British Royal Family and Express.co.uk wants to know which wedding dress was your favourite.

Queen Elizabeth II wed Prince Phillip shortly after World War II meaning her dress was subject to clothing rations with 200 additional coupons given by the Government for the special occasion. The design by Norman Hartnell was inspired by the Botticelli painting Primavera and was adorned with 10,000 seed pearls.

The late Princess Diana’s wedding dress she wore to marry then-Prince Charles was designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel and featured antique lace that was once worn by Queen Mary. The gown broke records with its 25 feet train, the longest ever worn by a British royal bride.

For her wedding to Charles, Queen Camilla opted for a Robinson Valentine white silk chiffon gown with scalloped edging and a matching white overcoat.

The Princess of Wales wore a custom dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen for her wedding in 2011 featuring a Victorian-style bodice, long sleeves, and a delicate lace flower collar.

In contrast, Meghan Markle opted for a simpler design for her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018 with a Clare Waight Keller-designed gown for Givenchy which featured a bateau neckline and three-quarter sleeves in pure white.

Also wed at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Princess Eugenie wore a gown designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos for her wedding to Jack Brooksbank. The dress included a full pleated skirt and low back to show her scoliosis correction surgery scar.

In contrast to her sister, Beatrice chose to borrow a dress first worn by her grandmother for her wedding. She was the first British royal bride to upcycle a gown with Mr Hartnell’s geometric checked bodice being modified to include organza sleeves.
