POLL: Should Prince Andrew move to now-vacant Frogmore Cottage?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have vacated Frogmore Cottage after being given an eviction notice by the King earlier this year, meaning the five-bedroom property on the Windsor estate is now available for another member of the Firm.
Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have returned the keys to their UK residence.
He said that the couple’s renovations to the property, which was gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth II after their wedding, meaning it has been returned to the Crown with “a greatly enhanced asset”.
Reports suggest that the King would like his disgraced brother Prince Andrew to downsize to Frogmore Cottage.
During the briefing, Sir Michael said: “We will not be discussing any details of the Duke’s private lease arrangements here today.”

The Duke of York has lived in the Royal Lodge on the Windsor Estate for the past 20 years and is said to be refusing to leave the property, which he took out a 75-year lease on.

A source told OK! Magazine earlier this year: “Andrew is adamant that he is staying at Royal Lodge for the remainder of his lease.
“He will not move into Frogmore without a fight. Royal Lodge is his home and he will do everything in his power to remain in the property.”
