Thi Khanh Ly Duong was last seen four days ago when a taxi dropped her off in Birmingham after she did some shopping. Concern over her whereabouts was raised by her boarding school, which is in Staffordshire, on the evening of Saturday, May 1, when she did not return.
The police have launched an urgent appeal to find the 17-year-old, who was at Asda in Cannock and was last seen in Handsworth region just outside of the Birmingham city centre.
The student departed Asda just before 6:30pm and was collected by taxi outside the store around 15 minutes later at 6:45pm.
The cab dropped her off at Holly Road near Grove Lane in Handsworth, Birmingham sometime after, which was the last time she was seen.
Ms Duong is Vietnamese-born, 5ft tall, slim and has long black hair.
On the day she disappeared, she was wearing jeans and a light coloured hoody with a black jacket, Nike flip flops and a big black handbag.
Although her first name is Thi, the schoolgirl also goes by the name of Ly and has guardians in Handsworth who are hoping for her safe return.
A spokesperson for the West Midlands Police said: “We’re urgently appealing to trace a teenager who has gone missing in Handsworth.

“We understand she was picked up by a taxi outside Asda, Cannock at 6.45pm and dropped off in Handsworth. She hasn’t been seen since.”
