Horrific scenes unfolded in London as a girl stabbed on board a school bus has died.
Officers and paramedics have stormed the scene in Croydon, south London, outside the Whitgift Centre.
A spokesperson for the Met Police confirmed they have been called to reports of a stabbing on board the bus, which has been pictured inside a cordon on Wellesley Road.

Concerns about reports of a stabbing incident in Croydon are being shared on social media, reports The Mirror.
An X user tweeted: “Croydon little girl has been stabbed in the neck on the school run bus.”
Another tweeted: “Young girl stabbed on a school bus outside the #WhitgiftCentre in #Croydon.
“Traffic is chaos with #WellesleyRoad Northbound closed but I think the main focus should be on the child who has been harmed. Praying she survives.”

16 London buses diverted
Buses have been diverted and roads have been closed as a result of the ‘stabbing’ incident.
Wellesley Road in Croydon has been shut northbound between the Whitgift Shopping Centre and St Michael’s Road since around 9am.
The road closure has caused 16 buses to divert, with many stationary at the scene.
