A Kent Police officer has been stabbed in Kent and remains in serious condition after being airlifted to hospital. Police officers were attending an address in Albion Place, Maidstone at around 8 pm on Thursday 15 June 2023 when the assault took place. A 48-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested by Kent Police and remains in custody while enquiries continue.

The officer was airlifted to a London hospital with injuries appearing to be stab wounds.

He remains at the hospital in a serious but stable condition, Kent Police reported.
